Great bag for transport, not optimal for protection
Wvdm 25.04.2018
I've used this bag for my tenor sax (Selmer Super action 80 series II) for over 2 years. I switched from the original case to this bag as i started moving alot more by bike instead of by car.
It works perfectly as adverstised. The grips are comfortable, both for the hands and for the shoulders (im around 186cm tall, never a problem).
There is more then sufficient room for the sax in the bag. The side pouch is large enough to contain all your reeds, mouth piece (+cap), neck, 2 straps & cleaning material.
There is no separate space for sheet music or books. You could put it together with your instrument in the bag. If you only have loose sheets, they will be cracked. If you have too many sheets or books, your saxophone will be too tight in the bag, which could damage your keys. This should not be a problem if you don't take too many sheets with you.
The reason why i switched from this bag to another bag is because i really wanted a hard case for my instrument. This bag is soft foam, it has basic protection. If it slips out of your hands or you trip and fall on your back, your saxophone will be damaged. It could also get damaged if you place it in a car/transport that is too crammed. That is why i rated quality 3/5. It does as advertised, but a hard case is something that became a hard requirement for me through the years.

Light and Comfortable

This gigbag is really good for the price...It's light and very comfortable. Outside materials are of quality, but the inside is not top quality, but can't expect too much in this price range. Overall, is a good gigbag.

Excellent

Excellent, well made, sturdy and for a Gigbag offers good protection for the instrument. Good value for money. There is also a nice touch with a separate cushioned bag inside the side pocket.

Keeping it all together

I only wish the bag would open up more, so that it would be easier to put the sax in.
Other than that, it is great to have this. The handles are nice and there is enough space for everything.
