JM
It's an overpriced toy
Jan M. 28.01.2022
Sound:
The sound quality is not acceptable to me. Especially the piano samples sound highly compressed, show artefacts and are muddy. The DAC sounds flat and distorts easily.

Handling:
The unit doesn't have any direct possibility to be controlled on the device. Changing sounds or banks e.g. must be done by MIDI commands directly. I do not see this as a problem, it works as advertised.
BUT: The unit always returns to default settings on power up. This renders it unusable for the possibility to (pre-)configure it (e.g. by an app or external controller), packing it up and using it as a simple and fast expander in a rehearsal or on a gig.

Features:
Features are ok, the basics as excepted, with flexibility to play different sounds on different MIDI channels.

Quality:
All in all quality (as in build quality and sound quality) is not convincing for what it is advertised - especial taking the price tag of over 400€ into account.

After in-depth testing I returned the expander.
I probably would have kept it for some of the non-piano sounds that are reasonably good if the price were maybe around a quarter of the actual price.

Expected much more

Piano samples are very good but hardware design is poor. First of all DA converter very noisy. When play dynamically samples are distorted even though volume knob is set low. The only way to reduce distortion is to set MIDI volume below 64 but then the noise is even higher.
Product returned.

PN
Decent sound.
Paco Negrito 19.01.2022
I'm using it with Arturia keyboard and what I wanted was a good sounding sound modules, that does not have plenty of samples, but the ones it has, are quality.

Pianos are great.
Double bass sounds fair.
Electric pianos are fine.

Can't tell more about other as I don't use them.
Controlling (program changes) from Arturia are a bit painful. I'm sure it's much easier with other keyboards or from a computer.

The output could be a bit less noisy.
There's some hiss at higher volumes.

E
truly awesome

This is the best range of sounds I have ever heard.
I bought it for the fabulously responsive pianos, but my jaw dropped completely when trying out the drums.
To access the other sound banks treat them as if you were going beyond 127, i.e. bank 2 starts at 128(add another 127 for bank 3 etc.)
If you play keyboards with any hint of pianistic ability, this is the one for you
