a bit long, but nevertheless great hardware

When you attache them to the guitar/bass they tent to stick out a bit much more than i'd like, and you can feel some torsion due to it, which gives be a bit of skepticism when jumping around with the guitar. So far so good.
The good:
feels good quality, fasten in place very well, good finish
The bad:
they stick out a bit and the provided screws are a bit thin (or at least thinner than the ones the guitar came with and those don't fit the Warwick straplocks)

Good- ish

I bought two sets of these - two guitars and one strap. The guitar mounting parts are fine (and will accommodate an old fashioned strap without security locks if you want to revert) but the strap mounting parts were a little more hit and miss. The strap mounting part fits firmly onto the strap with no problems, but it has a funky mechanical arrangement which provides the locking to the guitar mounted spigot. Having bought 2 sets, I had 4 strap mounting parts and one of these didn't want to lock / unlock easily. I replaced it with one of the 3 units which did work and have had no problems. I suspect some WD40 and gentle manipulation might cure the problem, but I probably shouldn't have to go through this exercise. Out of 3 sets bought for myself and a friend (6 strap mounting parts in total) only one strap mounting part has had this problem.

Once the working parts were in place, these locks were brilliant. No chance of the guitar falling off while playing (a problem faced by my friend with his bass using another type of strap lock several times before he made the switch) and quick change between guitars is very easy to achieve.

Warwick Straplocks
James K. 12.06.2013
This product came with very simple instructions, taking off old strap buttons and replacing with Warwick Straplock buttons using the screws provided, then placing the lock onto the strap and tightening it with a wrench/spanner of the correct size. These straplocks are very sturdy and very easy to fit, I have fitted them on three different instruments (in black and chrome) and I did not have to drill any holes, the whole installation can be completed with a crosshead screwdriver and a spanner and provides a very reliable system, I could not find any faults with these straplocks and the release buttons are easier to use than those on other brands. As usual with Warwick these are of high quality and work extremely well!

Decent

Quite good.

From a design point of view, it does not make sense to have a non locking nut to tighten down the rings/strap. This does need occasional re-tightening. Dunlop's approach makes more sense in this regard.

Secondly, the pins in one of the units is not moving smoothly, causing me to have to use a different pin to pop it back in place when re-applying the strap to a guitar.
