First of all the hardware that comes with this guitar is unreal for the price. 1) TUSQ nut 2) Grover locking tuners 3) d' addario stock strings
!!!!!!!!!
PICKUPS
The p90 is very good, with sweet tone and quite high output (the typical p90 hum is there)
The humbucker is not up to par though. Low output compared to the p90 especially when split where the difference is huge. This is MY ONLY GRIPE with this guitar.
PLAYABILITY
The guitar came set-up. Intonation and action were perfect. The neck is satin finished and very fast
LOOKS
Stunning and immaculate!!
I preferred this over the 600 series humbucker-p90 model because of the satin neck against the glossy neck and this beautiful white, tortoise pickguard finish, plus I can change the pickups and have the same quality as the 600 model with less money in total.
TOTALLY RECOMMENDED

Very nice guitar - Highly recommend

I bought this electric guitar as a complete beginner to guitars and all the different types and brands out there. I settled on this one as I'm aware Yamaha always build products with good quality and it seemed to be a very recommend choice from other reviewers. The Grover Locking Tuners are great at keeping the guitar in tune and the P-90 pickup compliments the entire guitar so well. It's something a little different from many other guitars you'd see at this price point and I really enjoy that. I went with the Vintage White Style and it looks exactly the same as in the pictures. It was very well packaged and secure so it was practically ready to play out of the box. I also like how it has a ST style body and the P-90 pickup gives it the warmer sounds of a telecaster. The humbucker is what you'd expect it to be. No problems there. If you're on the fence about which guitar to buy at this price point I would highly encourage you to consider this guitar. All in all its great for all round use and its variety of sounds is fantastic.

Beginner point of view rating

I can't say much about the sound or the tehnical part since am just a beginner. I will only write here what i've observed. I decided to buy this guitar after many-many-many hours of research especially looking for quality for the price and playabillity. I think for most beginners those are the most important things to look after. Then tone and everything else will make his way later on. First of all many don't know if they like to play guitar since they never played (like me) and i wouldn't suggest to go for a very expensive guitar first.
Something that bothered me when i did the unboxing for the guitar was the tone knob which was very loose and it was spinning continuously instead of having a minimum and a maximum. I tried to tighten a bit but its still a bit loose. At least now i can use it, and stops in the minimum and maximum range, 0-10 range or whatever is called.
Also when playing through a amp its a bit fuzzy even on clean tone (i know p90 has a fuller sound), i don't know if there are some electrical issues but its not that big of a deal since fuzz is almost absent.
So yea, maybe i was a bit unlucky with this one but im still happy about it. Its a bit different but thats why i love it.
Would i recommend this guitar? Well, absolutely yes. The quality for the price is awesome.

Great Playing and Great Features

Packed full of features for the price, and fantastic build quality.
Mine came with a rolled fretboard, which I'm not sure if what Yamaha did, or what Thomann did - but I was surprised as I've not seen that on other Pacifica's.
The guitar is amazing, and I don't plan on ever getting rid of it.
