Podcast recording just about everywhere

The ZDM-1 Podcast Mic Pack provides all the extra gear that is needed for professional podcast recording in just about every location - whether it's indoors or outdoors. Comprising a large-diaphragm dynamic microphone, a pair of closed-back headphones, a tabletop tripod, a windscreen, and a 2m microphone cable, this package is the ideal solution for all users who already own a Zoom field recorder. Creating professional-sounding podcasts has never been easier thanks to the ZHP-1 headphones, which allow precise monitoring of audio signals, and the included custom-fitted windshield that ensures effective noise protection for clean recordings, which will be particularly beneficial when working in outdoor settings.

High-quality microphone and matching headphones

The ZDM-1 large-diaphragm dynamic microphone captures voices in broadcast quality with the associated smooth tonal character. Covering a frequency range of 50Hz to 18kHz and with a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 135dB, the ZDM-1 is ideal for recording louder voices, and its sensitivity of 2mV/Pa means it is among the "louder" dynamic microphones. What is more, the mic's high acoustic stability and internal damping make it the ideal choice for all vocal ranges, and the supercardioid polar pattern allows voices to be recorded with exceptional clarity and precision while effectively rejecting unwanted ambient sounds at the sides of the microphone.

For beginners and veterans

The Zoom ZDM-1 Podcast Mic Pack perfectly caters to the needs of all users who want to produce professional podcasts – from beginners taking their first steps into podcasting through to experienced creators looking for high-quality equipment to upgrade their setup. This podcast package is equally suitable for use in the studio and on the go thanks to its custom-fitted windshield, which provides protection against wind, breathing, or popping noise, and the included adjustable tripod that allows the mic to be securely set up on a desk and directed towards the speaker. The microphone stand features a robust metal thread that can withstand heavy use in all recording scenarios as well as lightweight, space-saving folding legs that allow it to be set up or collapsed for transport in just a few seconds. And all of the Zoom ZDM-1 Podcast Mic Pack's components feature premium build quality that ensures reliable operation over long periods of time.

About Zoom

Founded in 1983, the Japanese company Zoom manufactures a variety of audio equipment, including a range of portable "handy" recorders as well as multi-effects processors, effects pedals, drum machines, and samplers. Over the past thirty years, the company has built a reputation for producing innovative yet affordable products based on original microchip designs. Since the Zoom-9002 (an ultra-compact multi-effects processor that can be attached to a guitar strap) was introduced in 1990, Zoom has become one of the leaders in digital audio processing.

Closed-back headphones for a finely detailed sound

The ZHP-1 headphones feature 40mm neodymium drivers and are not only perfectly matched to the dynamic mic's frequency response but also extremely comfortable to wear thanks to their soft synthetic leather cushioning, while their closed-back design provides excellent isolation so that users can enjoy a clean and finely detailed sound wherever they go. The ZDM-1 Podcast Mic Pack additionally includes a 2m single-sided cable that allows the microphone to be positioned at a sufficient distance from the Zoom recorder if, for example, the user wants to operate the headphones via the remote control (not included). Directly connecting the headphones to the recorder is also possible via the built-in stereo socket in 3.5mm mini-jack format.

Good Budget Podcast Kit
rayzer... 26.04.2021
The kit provides everything you need to connect to an audio interface to get started with voice calls or similar. Didn't have to go looking for cables or adapters which was nice.

The microphone is decent but the clip that connects to it looks fragile in the middle, be careful with it when mounting to a stand.
The provided desktop stand is fine but i used a different one, needed something taller.
The headphones sound okay but the cables too long and the headband cant be adjusted. The cable is detachable but the headphone fit wont suit some people. I will use them for general purpose listening.

Good cheap setup, maybe use your own headphones if you don't like the provided ones. Overall happy with it.
