Well built, but not for me.

The cymbal did not seem worth the high price compared to other cymbals out there. Here are my thoughts:

1. I also own the 12" Zultan Mellow Splash which I find to be fantastic and sounds great on recordings. On the contrary, the 20" Mellow crash doesn't sound enough like a real crash to me to use it to record with.
2. The price seems unusually high to me - I feel like it should be more affordable like the low volume options from other brands like Millenium, Sabian and Zildjian.
3. I was hoping for a lighter cymbal, and I thought that since it was full of holes, it would be lighter and have a better response to my playing style ( I am a light hitter). But it really felt like a heavier cymbal to me to get it to respond, and I actually did not hear much of a noise reduction compared to normal cymbals of the same price range.

I want to finish by saying that I really do like and recommend the 12" splash from this series, I just might recommend looking into cheaper, quieter options if you are just looking for a 20" crash for a practice cymbal.
