MIDI controller and sequencer in one

Arturia Keystep 37 USB Controller keyboard

As a hybrid of the company's Keystep and Keystep Pro models, Arturia's KeyStep 37 step controller combines the keyboard size of the Pro controller with features of the portable KeyStep, offering 37 keys, a built-in sequencer, an arpeggiator, and a new Chord mode that comprises various playing modes. The CV, Sync, and MIDI inputs allow the user to control external devices such as analogue synthesizers, modular systems, and drum machines, even when not connected to a computer. This makes the KeyStep 37 the perfect control station for any setup, no matter whether it's used in the studio or during live performances.

Compact USB controller

The Arturia Keystep combines a master keyboard, a step sequencer, and an arpeggiator and offers eight slots for storing sequences with up to 64 steps each, as well as eight improved arpeggiator patterns. An eight-voice polyphonic step sequencer also allows the user to play chords, which can now be created more easily than ever before thanks to the new Chord mode, while the four encoders enable users to not only tailor the Chord mode to their individual needs, but also to control software parameters. After all, performance is one of the top priorities of the Keystep 37, which enables the real-time recording and editing of sequences as well as spontaneous adjustment of note lengths and the "swing feeling", for instance. Almost all of these operations can be carried out while the synthesizer is running, so there is no need to interrupt the performance.

Compatible with any setup

With its extensive connection options, the Arturia Keystep 37 is a portable control centre for electronic setups, featuring MIDI and MIDI-over-USB inputs for communicating with computer-based software instruments as well as with external hardware synthesizers. What is more, its CV/Gate-connections (Gate Out, Pitch CV Out, Modulation CV Out) enable users to control analogue synthesizers and modular systems, and to use the Keystep 37 as a MIDI-to-CV converter, with synchronisation made possible via MIDI or analogue Sync-In/Out sockets. With all of these features, the Keystep 37 gives users everything they need for impressive performances, all while maintaining a highly compact format.

About Arturia

Arturia's success story began with software emulations of well-known analogue synthesizers such as the Moog Minimoog, Sequential Prophet-5, and Oberheim SEM. The popular software instruments included in the V Collection are still flagship products of the French developer today. Over time, Arturia has gradually expanded its range and now also offers a host of hardware devices, ranging from synthesizers and keyboard controllers to sequencers. Since then, the former software developer has thus also become a household name in the world of analogue synthesizers and other equipment.

A bridge between worlds

The Arturia Keystep 37's extensive connectivity and wide range of performance features make it the ideal control centre for versatile setups and a perfect fit for both creative studio sessions and sophisticated live performances. While it can be used as a USB/MIDI keyboard to control software and hardware synthesizers, its CV/Gate connections also makes it a perfect controller for analogue modular systems, thus building bridges between the digital and the analogue worlds. And as the various outputs of the KeyStep 37 can be addressed separately, users can control several external devices at the same time, making ambitious performances easier than ever before.
