Great replacement for lap steel bridge
Atchoo 16.11.2020
At first I was (not afraid, not petrified) a bit reluctant to replacing the bridge on my Gretsch Lap Steel, but I figured I had to give it a go. I'm very glad that I did, because it instantly added all the things I've been missing when playing lap steel. In particular the ability to bend the G-string up a half step and the B-string a whole step.

This makes it possible to play both minor and major chords/licks easily (by pushing both levers), and switch between parallel keys (e.g. C/Am, F/Dm) fast with the lever on the B-string when tuned in D or E major. But the best advice I can give is to be creative. It's a rock solid product that opens for all kinds of custom tweaks regarding tuning and fine tweaking, but find out what works for you. Chances are that you already know if you've found this hidden gem of a product.

The quality seems superb so far, and the user manual/guide covers everything you need to know for mounting, and there's plenty of extra unbraco/hex keys and extra accessory parts so it's easy to adapt it to literally any bridge type. There was a couple of details regarding placement I couldn't find in the manual, but a quick Google search brought me plenty of solid mounting guides.

Quick delivery, great customer service, great product quality and new life to my old lap steel. Both thumbs up from Oslo, Norway!

Fast Delivery..
Fafnir 11.12.2018
Bought A DUESENBERG Multibender from Thomann and I live in Iceland. The Delivery was less than 6 days with weekend included. Everything I ordered was as it should be and I'm sending my DMB too a Luthier too attach too my guitar.
The Service from Thomann was so swift and cost effective that I ended up ordering a bunch off more stuff or my guitar and will be turning my Squier guitar into a Beast.
P.S hint too guitar players that have problems with a spouse or loved one that is always complaining about you buying more and more guitars...just buy stuff for you guitar instead. Example: I Bought a cheap squire and ended up getting gear 5 times the price of the guitar and she's none the wiser ; )

A
Very neat product
Anonymous 26.02.2015
I found this product quite easy to install and get set up. I found it really good to use as it expands what the guitar is capable of producing so and another dimension to your playing, much more use (and fun) than a normal tremelo The only down side I found was that it nakes string changing a bit tricky especially if you've got a trembar lowering a string. I found that I had to remove one of the bridge pieces beforeI could thread the string.

Duesenberg Multibender
lapsteelguy 15.09.2018
For decades musicians and guitar engineers have invented string-bending mechanisms, with varying results. Here?s one that works so well it?s now integrated into Duesenberg?s top-end lap steels. The MultiBender is an amazing piece of precision engineering that uses palm-operated levers to raise or lower up to six strings. This unit comes as a replacement ?Strat-type? top-loading bridge with two levers, additional ones available. However, the supplied two levers will get you those G/B-bender effects, plus some classic country pedal steel sounds.

Fitting is easy and the supplied instructions are clear and helpful. Check your string height and scale length beforehand - you will need about 7 cm of real estate behind the (existing) bridge. This one was going on a lap steel so it was just a matter of shimming up, positioning and screwing down. Once installed, set up the bridge saddles for height and intonation. Then adjust the palm levers for desired tuning and travel. Once tuned up, it?s perfectly stable.

Couple of small things. Setting up the saddles is tricky when strung up to pitch, so be prepared for some trial and error. Also, I don?t know if it was just me, but five hex keys arrived in the package - one small one for the saddles, a larger one for the tuning levers, and three that don?t fit anything.
