Not good, here's why
Philip.S 29.03.2020
Edit after 1 year:
The thing has began to make a horrible scratching noise, even when playing clean, so I reduced quality down to 1 star. Honestly, just get the standard one or the 60's or whatever; this isn't worth your money .
The "adjustable" wah-wah has maybe two good wah-wah sounds. the variable Q is a pointless control, the whole point of a wah is that you control the range with your foot. The volume is also pointless, the last thing you need is another volume control in your rig. The "boost" function turns it into a wah-volume pedal hybrid, but it makes your tone murky and undefined. There are also these little knobs on the bottom of the pedal that are confusing to use. In the end, this pedal is versatile, but isn't specialised. Just buy a normal wah. also, the adjustment knob makes loud popping noises when used.

When you switch the main various function pot on the right of the pedal, the pedal can and does mute not just the wah wah sound but also the guitar sound! I had to disconnect the leads and take the battery out and reassemble to get the thing working again. A couple of minutes later it did the same thing again. I replaced the battery but it happened again after that. This would have been a disaster had I been doing a gig. It is totally unaceptable and I will be seeking a solution from Thomann. I have since discovered that other people have encounted the same problem with tis pedal

e
Pros and cons for CB-535Q
edgars1708 22.02.2015
Hey,
First of all this is a very good wah pedal. Dunlop is very famos in making wah-wah's. And the new 535Q, i think is very usable and anyone could find a use to it in their pedal boards.
As earlier said, it has many tone variations, volume control and mode control, boost, which i personaly don't use, becausi it makes a distorted sond n my combo, which I dont expect from Wah. But some may find it useful.
I like a specific sound of wah on my combo, and many combinations of tone control gives the opportunity, which is a great + for this pedal.
Sometimes I like to use it as sort of volume pedal, turning the tone to narrow and vide, as it just disapears slowly.
On the negative side, I find that turning it on and of could be better, as it is for some other wah's, when you dont have to push it all the way forward, and when you do so, then it starts with shar sound, which I dont like sometimes.
But due to its features this wah has grown on me, and I like it very much.

You can never go qrong with a Crybaby!
It sounds awesome and the knobs on the side help you personalize your wah sound and tone. It is very versatile and it responded very good on bass as well.
You can get a large variety of wah sounds with it. It is a very good wah, and I have played, rehearsed and recorded with it for two years now. It sounds still amazing!
