B
Great pedal at a great price
Brian1944 09.11.2014
Was looking recently for a decent fuzz pedal to add to my rig to give a bit of variation to my boss odb3.

I have always been a fan of electro harmonix but was wary that the last few muff pedals had received mixed reviews. Fear not, the muff nano packs an awesome punch into a suprisingly small package. Rich sounding fuzz with a real evident progression when you increase the sustain.

It's size belies its range and strength and for the price you really can't go wrong. I personally love the sound of Nick Oliveri's bass work for QOTSA which he achieved through a cranked svt amp. This pedal gets that same kind of fuzzy tone so was an instant winner for me. Would definitely recommend and would replace if lost.

Y
Excellent for guitar as well
YannisK 17.11.2019
I got this after seeing a comparison of all the nano muffs and this stood out to me as the most versatile and less noisy. I am using it with a guitar and it works very well, with a sound similar to the green russian as far as I can tell.

One thing I wish this pedal had is a way to control the total volume output when mixing in the clean signal. As it stands when the switch is toggled the pedal outputs the clean signal at a fixed volume and the volume level controls how much distorted signal is added, leading to a total volume that is louder than unity.

W
Great Vintage Muff Sound
William383 08.11.2020
There are a lot of good fuzz pedals that are suitable for out there and it took me a long time to finally decide which one to buy. Money was never an issue and my primary focus was on the sound and quality. I knew I couldn't take one for a test run, so I had to rely heavily on reviews. I definitely made the right choice. The sound is vintage muff fuzz, without the boom. It is very articulate and can easily be mixed with other pedals. The build quality is excellent and much better than expected considering the price. Overall, worth the gamble and I would recommend this pedal to any bass player looking for a professional vintage fuzz sound. No cons.

Tiny but delivers

I'm a fan of smaller pedals and also don't use that many pedals, but ever since I got this one (bit more than half a year), I'm willing to take even more.
This is gig-ready pedal with a sweet spot for fuzz-fun. Not just me, but my band loves this amazing fuzz tone.
What I love:
- knobs don't turn on their own
- fits a small board (like mine)
- simple and to the point (3 knobs, 1 wet/dry switch)
- have incredible and good sustain - once I let it ring almost forever before a come-back
- it does not cut the bass with the fuzz, but my secret sauce is to use a BEQ right after this one and punch a bit more of 50 and 120hz and cut anything above 4000hz ... Incredible sound

What I dislike:
- the footswitch might be harder to flip on sometimes
- depending on the song, is just too much fuzz power for the bass 😅

Overall, I everybody should have this (or bigger).
Once you get to know it, it can be versatile enough to cut through any mix.

I'm curious to get a Rat and see how both would play w/ each other while I have the fun.
