It sits on a send/return channel in my ableton rig.
I've been experimenting with loops drums synths so far
and it shines in every possible thing you throw at it.
Great external piece for adding subtle drive to sterile digital sounds!

The King Platform

It fulfills all the unimaginable expectations of any creator, both in studio and in any live event.

PROS:
Every parameter is perfect.

CONS:
1. For me, the switches are a little hard when you push them. Maybe EH would have to work on more docile, quiet, and manageable switches. This is especially noticeable when recording with external amplifiers because the recording noise is strained through the microphone when the switch is pressed.

2. The 4 stars is because, according to my experience within a few hours of working with this pedal, this is the only fault that can be found in it.

As for the rest, Platform is the king of my studio and pedalboard.

Brilliant when im trying to tame and stretch a Big muff pedal. Can be set to very extreme levels of compression to almost synth levels, more than, you will ever need on a guitar, One compressor to rule them all!!

Ik wou vooral een goedkope stereo compressor om achteraan mijn stereo deel van de keten te kunnen zetten als nodig (aftoppen pieken bij sommige effecten). Ik ben aangenaam verrast door de PLATFORM. Het geluid is goed, maar vooral de mogelijkheden zijn heel slim gekozen en verrassend voor de prijs. Enerzijds heb je op de markt de mono Dynacomp - genre pedalen die vrij simpel zijn en vaak bijna een limiter naar het schijnt. Anderzijds zijn er de nogal dure pedalen die meer mogelijkheden geven net zoals de compressoren in de DAW (Origin Effects) . De PLATFORM sluit voldoende aan bij de compressor van een DAW en is toch simpel genoeg en dan nog stereo. Hij heeft ook een led balkje dat de compressie weergeeft zoals vele compressor plug-ins. Je kan kiezen tussen limiter en compressor, de knee instellen, ... maar geeft toch ook niet teveel keuzes. Het is daarbij ook een swell pedaal. De drive vind ik een mooie extra maar niet essentieel, tenzij de toonregeling die het bevat.
Voor deze prijs met al deze mogelijkheden heeft EHX een heel goede job gedaan ! Ik denk dat ik hem toch ook eens vooraan in de keten ga zetten.
