Good product. I add one piece in my sq mustang cv that already have one. Comparing the stock string guide with this one found that this one have a longer screw but don't worry, it will not come out from the back of the headstock. For proper installation I suggest to open a hole at the headstock that will be slightly smaller than the screw. Use a dremel tool better.

A classic string guide
Negatron 25.09.2022
Works exactly as described.
I got this as the standard string guide that comes with a player strat does not use the cylindrical riser. Instead the string guide is installed nearly flush with the wood which results in a very hard break angle after the nut.
Older Strats always used the cylindrical riser which created a more realistic break angle after the nut.
So I bought this set for that very reason and would recommend it to anyone who buys a new Strat and finds the string guide too low.

Clean up your headstock
Anonymous 26.11.2015
I've used a couple of sets of these now. They look much cleaner than the type with the roller wheel thing and I make them look even less noticeable by not using the spacer. I think it's important to put some kind of graphite grease on the underside to really make the string slip through.
This is such a cheap improvement to any other type of string guide for strata.
