I own two SPS snare bags. And if I would need another one, I think I would go with this one again.
They are not hardcase, but are definitely hard duty. The outsides of the bag feel very hard, so I wouldn't worry about my snare getting damaged during transportation.
On top of that, the bag is lightweight and has a nice soft padding on the inside.

GEWA SPS snare bag is big enough for large strainers/butt plates. It has; firm sides, rubber back strong zippers, strong handle, very good shoulder strap w/ strong latches. It even has a name plate. The list of good qualities is long and, the interior and exterior is Beautiful. Perfect for my Gretsch 4165 COB. A+

Sturdy, protective and an all round great bag!

Bought this bag for my new snare drum I recently got and I must say, I'm impressed! It is extremely sturdy with its plexiglass reinforced sides, top and bottom, along with the durable Cordura 600D material it's covered with. This provides a great amount of protection from any impacts it could experience and I would even begin to compare it to the same standard as a hard case, however it goes one step further! The inside has a really soft, 2cm thick, foam lined protective cushion which will protect your drum, providing you with reassurance that your drum will not be damaged.
One other positive is that it's a very stylish bag. The stitching for the logo and the 14, gives it a really nice look and will fit in with any drummers style. The bag carries very nicely and even provides the option to hang it over your shoulder.
Overall, an extremely nice bag! So far I haven't found anything negative about it, and I'm sure it will last me for a long time. Would recommend to anyone considering this as their choice of drum bag.
