Better than expected - REALLY!

Found this gem accidentally - I was hoping against hope for a left handed fretless bass (very rare things are lefty fretless basses) in the, er, Left handed bass section, but actually it was hiding in plain sight in the Fretless section. Saw it, bought it, fitted it with flatwound strings and off I went. A slight tweak here and there and it performed very well indeed. I had borrowed a fretless Stringr ay forcomparison the JB-40 held its own remarkably well.
Highly recommended.

Great value fretless bass

I purchased this after watching LowEndLobster's review of the bass and am very happy with the bass. Great feeling neck and great sounds. The finish is the only feature that could be a bit better but no complaints for this price. Great instrument.

So this bass is from Harley Benton's Deluxe Series. It has an American ash body in a delightful, glossy, sunburst finish. The Canadian maple neck has a good feel with a satin finish. The Laurel fretboard has fret lines. The pick-ups perform well. The tonal quality are present. This bass excels in expectation. Thank you Harley Benton. Lot's of pro-bass features.
