Kind of specialty

I've been looking for a neck-through RG with fixed bridge around 400 EUR for quite some time and finally it arrived!

The guitar itself is really solid and easy to play thanks to the fantastic Wizard III neck. It's a finely polished 5-piece satin neck so you can play fast, it won't be tacky easily. Another thing to mention about the neck is its fretboard. It's made of Jatoba wood which is much harder than rosewood so in theory it'd last much longer too and won't be that affective to scratches which is a big plus.

I can confirm that it stays in tune even for several weeks among the same environmental circumstances (humidity, temperature) if you use it every day - just like I did. I don't know how much it's caused by the neck-through design or the used materials but it works very well.

The pickups, are good enough for rock/metal, they've a nice and clean sound (especially in neck position), but don't expect wide-spectrum premium sounding.

All the parts have great quality, but the painting on the body won't last too long since it has no lacquer or other layer to protect.

IR
Good affordable neck-through instrument
Ilya Rarov 05.04.2021
I bought this guitar about a year ago. Here is my experience.
Pros:
This is a well-made instrument, I didn't find any flaws when I took it out of the box. It is light and balanced (no neck dive or something like this). The Wizard III neck is very comfortable to play (even though I am not a fan of thin necks). Of course, it should be mentioned, that this is a very affordable neck-through guitar. So, if you ever wanted to get that kind of guitar (like me), this Ibanez is a good option. It looks very aggressive and metal.
Cons:
The tuners are not very precise. I mean they do the job. But if you need to tune the guitar up, sometimes it is difficult to get the note quickly, and the tuner should be turned back and forth several times.
The "weathered" finish is very thin and fragile. I already have a few chips in the finish over the instrument, mostly on the edges (I treated it very carefully, didn't gig with it, used only at home). The guitar is getting the relic look pretty fast.

I use this guitar mostly in drop C#/C tunings with distortion, and it sounds fine. I also tried drop B, but the guitar sounded muddy (probably, it was too low for stock pickups). Also, I am not very happy with clean sound (even in coil-split mode), for me, it lacks harmonics. Maybe I'll swap pickups in the future (and tuners too).
All in all, the guitar is very decent, especially for the price. I like it and not going to get rid of it.

The guitar is light for me, the neck is thin and pleasant to the senses, perfectly smooth, so the strings are low from the frets, the guitar builds perfectly, excellent pegs, I also like the sound that can be picked up thanks to excellent pickups and a combination of a five-position switch. The disadvantage is that when playing, I lean my little finger on the guitar and the paint has already worn off in this place, but on the other hand, this only adds brutality to the guitar.

The shielding might have been better, but there is no noise anyway.
One of the best guitars for it's price!
