It's really great and as soon as I picked it up in my hands out of the box it was pleasant to play, especially to slap. The 2 band eq with the single humbucker make great sound. For 400 euros this is really good. Maybe I will just have to lower the action a bit more but I'll see.
Edit; it's been around 7 months and it's still a great bass for me, really good quality. Also it's great with high gain distorsion... it's simply amazing.

A little setting up was necessary. The action was a little too high, but overall i was left satisfied with the purchase. It definitely has that thick sound of a music man.

incredible sound and feel, very smooth and clear. This is the second bass I've owned and it is infinitely better than my starter instrument, it also has a very good and comfortable weight to it. I've played a large number of basses and this is by far the one with the best feel.
The only issue I've experienced is the screw on the jack loosening, but it's easily screwed back in place.
Make sure not to leave the cable in the instrument when you're not using it, as the bass is active and the battery will drain :P

GUTER BASS,SEHR SCHLECHTES SETUP

Über den Bass sebst möchte ich gar nicht so viel schreiben.
Wer dieses Instrument kauft,der weiss,dass es sich hier um eine Kopie des EBMM Stingray Basses handelt und somit ist mit Blick auf den Preis klar,das man gewisse Abstriche machen muss.
Das ist auch für mich absolut kein Problem,den Bass habe ich mir als Backup Bass zu meinem Precision bestellt und dafür ist er mit Abstrichen schon richtig gut.
Was dagegen für mich ein Problem ist,dieses Instrument wird wahrscheinlich auf Grund des Preises bevorzugt von Anfänger und Fortgeschrittenen gekauft,von dem her kann ich die grottenschlechte Grundeinstellung des Basses nicht nachvollziehen,meinere war jedenfalls so wie er ankam absolut nicht spielbar.
Alle Saiten schnarrten wie Hölle,der Hals war völlig schlecht eingestellt,von Oktavreinheit ganz zu Schweigen.
Hier scheint es definitiv keine Endkontrolle zu geben,sonst würde ein Instrument so niemals verschickt werden.
Da ich seit 40 Jahren Bass spiele,habe ich mich selbst an die Arbeit gemacht und alles eingestellt,kein Problem für mich,ich frage mich nur,was macht der Anfänger,zurückschicken,zum Gitarrenbauer,....?
Jetzt wo alles eingestellt ist,macht der Bass ne richtig gute Figur,
aber mal ehrlich Leute,muss sowas denn sein??
Nachtrag:
Ich habe dem Bass noch ein paar Upgrades spendiert.
Da die Mechaniken ziemlich mau waren,habe ich diese durch Schaller ersetzt,schonmal ein grosser Unterschied!
Den popeligen Plastiksattel habe ich gegen einen Knochensattel vom Gitarrenbauer ersetzen lassen,nochmal ein Unterschied!
Durch den Austausch des original Pu?s gegen einen Nordstrand MM4.2 Dual Coil Musicman Pickup hat der Bass dann jetzt auch klanglich einen viel besseren Sound und geht schon sehr nah ans Original,ein riesen Unterschied!!
Letzte Option wäre dann noch den Preamp gegen einen hochwertigen zu tauschen,diese Massnahme steht aber noch aus.
