I liked this reed. I do slightly prefer the V21 but it's only slightly better then this to my taste. Certainly worth a try!

Best for Theo Wanne GAIA
Solar 28.06.2017
When I got this reeds I realized that I have finally found my sound on the Theo Wanne GAIA mouthpiece. They are dark enough (but not too dark) with some edge. Like Francois Louis reeds but more stable. Vandoren quality is a trademark. I used to play Vandoren Blue reeds but this Java Filed Red are love at first sight :)

Absolutely perfect jazz tenor reed, great response throughout all registers and subtone. Great for using a slightly more open mouthpiece, like an 8-10 tip opening, as is a little bit softer than a traditional box 3 but not uncontrollable and buzzy. Excellent reed.
